Fourteen Fighters of UFC 117 Under Medical Suspension

Anderson Silva together with fellow UFC 117 fighters were suffering from injuries after months of training.
Silva was among the 17 fighters who were suspended after UFC 117. We’ve seen the medical list of suspensions from the California State Athletic Commission.
CSAC doctors suspended Silva for six months or until a proven X-ray that says the ribs are healed. Silva is suspended 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days for precautionary reasons. He also has to go on a CT scan and a neurological clearance before fighting again.
It is due to the tough fight he had with Sonnen which dominated four and a half of the rounds with brutal ground and pound before UFC 117 s champion had him in a triangle choke at the final minute.
Sonnen has also injuries, with an indefinite suspension with no contact for 60 days as the result of a facial laceration.
Thiago Alves and Jon Fitch meanwhile, walked out from the fight unharmed. But Lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos had the event’s most serious jaw injury…

…This past weekend, Wanderlei Silva was supposed to face Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 116, but was forced to pull out of the bout due to several injuries including torn ligaments in his knee, and cracked ribs sustained during a training session prior to the event.
Despite the injuries, The Axe Murderer had to be convinced by those closest to him to finally pull the plug on the bout, as he had every intention of fighting Akiyama with a severe knee injury.
Silva is scheduled to have surgery on the damaged knee next week, and will likely be out of action until spring of 2011.

As we told you last week, THQ is well aware of the several issues currently plaguing UFC 2010 gameplay, and how they do plan on correcting them.

…As we told you last week, THQ is well aware of the several issues currently plaguing UFC 2010 gameplay, and how they do plan on correcting them. Yesterday on the UFC Undisputed community forums, a representative for THQ named Tank gave a follow-up statement about the ongoing mission of getting a proper patch released for their popular MMA video game.
The post details some of the expected fixes that will be issued by the update, and even gives a look into the process of actually getting the patch out to the users once it has been created. Not surprisingly, it looks like the inexcusable Super CAFs will be getting neutered.
Since launch, the dev team has been working tirelessly on the myriad of hot button issues I’ve addressed in previous posts. They are currently creating a patch with Yukes, Gamespy, Sony, and MSFT. A few standout recent updates from the latest patch process:…
